  3. Hi there!

Any chance that Computer, Video & Games is going to be OCR’d?

    Keep up the good work!

    Greetings from The Netherlands!

    Erwin

  4. Firstly tx for all the Amiga Shoppers, that’s been a great job done. Any ideas when you’ll have the Amiga Format’s up and running? I only have about 4 copies and am trying to get the lot (or as near as dammit anyway….lol) Tx!

    • You’re welcome. Amiga Format will take AGES – Amiga Shopper, which was only 72 issues, took me a year off and on, although several months did go by without me touching an issue. Amiga Format was nearly double that number of issues (although I’m missing a couple of dozen), and some of those issues were 200+ pages. So it won’t be any time soon I’m afraid, unless I win the lottery and can employ someone to do it for us 🙂

      • Tx for the reply Ken. Good luck anyway with AF!! In the meantime, do you know of any other sites that have more than half a dozen copies available for d/l? I’ve tried all the usual, and have now got around 11, but obviously i’m after the lot!!

  5. I can’t wait for Amiga Power to get scanned – I’ve been looking for any source for years now and was even willing to pay … The only other site I know, only allows for a certain amount of downloads a day and isn’t as handy as a PDF file I can read on my tablet.

    • I think maybe 2/3rds of AP is already floating around te Internet, so I’ll see what I can do to collect them all together and get them OCR’d. I have a handful of my own issues, but I think the real “gap” is in the latter issues – if anyone knows of a complete collection anywhere (either physical or already scanned) please let me know!

  6. Hi. First of all, thank you for doing this. From a historical perspective alone, it is worth it.

I’d like to ask if you can find any issues of “Practical Computing”? Thank you.

    • You’re welcome. Unfortunately I can’t find any “Practical Computing”, either hard copies or pre-scanned. From a purely personal perspective, I’d love to get the really early titles like Practical Computing ticked off, they’re of huge interest to me. If anyone knows of anyone with a collection – either in physical or electronic form – PLEASE drop me a note.

Issue 8 is part of double issue 7/8 which is available on WoS. Most other issues up to #40 were uploaded as PDFs to here; http://www.sonsivri.to/forum/index.php?topic=33940.0

Unfortunately downloads have been put behind a membership wall and membership is non trivial. The uploader “Omelette” intended to upload them to WoS, but doesn’t seem to have done that. Fortunately I saved all issues whilst the forum was open, so can re-upload them if required.

I have physical copies of all remaining issues, I’m interested in collaborating on this project if you wish.

    • Yes please. I’ve scanned some issues myself already, and now that I’ve just about recovered from Amiga Shopper I’d like to get cracking with NCE – it was one of my favourite mags (at least before it turned crap towards the end). Please drop me a mail and I’ll give you a list of the ones I’ve got so far.

  8. You’re a legend! I can’t state how happy I am to find this site!

I’ve regretted for years (decades?!) allowing my parents to throw out a load of old gaming mags. I never thought I’d see things like ACE again, but remember them really fondly! I clearly didn’t realise at the time how important this sort of thing would be to me later. It’s more interesting than ever.

Thank you so much! I’ll try to seed indefinitely. 🙂

  9. Amazing job with this page. It is so important in my view to keep scans of all these mags.. its just such a shame the publishers and those whom bought them out don’t take the time and care to make them available themselves…. Can’t wait for the Amiga Power ones .. I know Amiga Magazine rack has some scanned but they frustratingly don’t do all the pages of the mags and some are missing… Other favourites of mine is Games-X and Arcade. Also a huge fan of Maximum.. but Out of Print Archive have already done those.. Keep up the great work and please know how much we appreciate your hard work.
